http://www.eco-divers.com/galleries/v/caryyanny/ At Eco Divers, the needs of underwater photographers are handled by Mrs Cary Yanny. Cary is co-owner of Eco Divers and also director of an award-winning dive centre in the Red Sea, Emperor Divers. She is a PADI Master Instructor, working in diving since the mid-80s and successfully certifying hundreds of students in that time.
Cary got into photography very early in life. As a child she used to take photos and even developed her own films in the bathtub at home! In her early days she just took land photos, only moving to underwater photography after she started working as a dive instructor. She has successfully combined her fish-like buoyancy, her extensive experience as a teacher and her knowledge of photography to become known as one of the best underwater photography instructors in Asia.
Cary's main emphasis in her underwater photography is to take photos in an environmental way, so the reef is not damaged. She does not accept that any photo is important enough to destroy the special and fragile underwater world that she is so passionate about.
Although she has judged photo competitions and has had photos published in some dive publications, till now Cary has not been too interested in publishing her photos - she has preferred to continue building up her photo library. As our resident Photo Pro, she offers PADI photo specialty courses and special seminars year-round.
