Diving North Sulawesi with Eco Divers Manado & Lembeh Strait

Diving in North Sulawesi

A dominating volcanic landscape creates a unique backdrop for you to discover North Sulawesi, one of the world's best yet least known dive destinations. The year-round diving here is all about amazing variety and exotic surroundings. The deep seas give excellent average visibility (25m). They are also home to many unusual species, for example the prehistoric fish "coelacanth" as well as some household names: reef-shark, turtles, eagle rays, napoleon wrasse, even dugong and orca! The majority of sites are conveniently accessed within one hour from your hotel and yet North Sulawesi's remote location means that the sites are never crowded with other divers.

Diving Services at Eco Divers/Kungkungan Bay Resort

Diving at KBR is a hugely pleasurable experience, as we guarantee a maximum group size of just 4 guests to each guide, so there is never a crowd of other divers getting in your way. Our speedboats are the only ones in the Lembeh Strait, which means that we can reach all 30 dive sites in no more than 15 minutes from our jetty. It also means that you will come back to the resort between dives and have plenty of time to rest, relax, eat, sleep, swim in the pool, change lens on your camera - whatever you decide you want to do.

Our PADI Divemasters are amongst the most experienced in the province in guiding the Strait and finding camouflaged and elusive creatures. They also understand the extra requirements of underwater photographers and will move slowly and patiently to allow you to get the shots you want.

At KBR, you do not have to think about moving your equipment around - we will set it up for you, change cylinders between dives and wash and store it for you at the end of your day's diving.
